Another Cup of Coffee

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
 Psalm 33:6-9
I am enjoying my second cup of coffee for the day. Mmm Good stuff! Hay has been delivered that will hopefully last us 2-3 weeks. My girls are out foraging for Rose hips to dry and getting some fresh air and exercise. School starts back up for us next week. They are in the home stretch of their High School years. Hope is recovering well and we are less than 13 days away from the start of Goat D-days!!.. They are all looking like they should be.
Something that has been on my mind the last few weeks is how we speak. There are so many negative things in our world today. So many people are constantly putting down their looks, their spouses, their children or their life. Its easy to see the bad.. And talk about it.. and over analyze it.
Words are powerful.. Especially when we speak them. Our tone of voice, facial expression and the words mixed together can be a very powerful thing. The more negative our words are the worse it can make us feel.. The worse we feel the more down we can get.. And depressed... That in turn effects us physically.. Leading to illness and eventually disease.. Is it any wonder so many people are sick today? In addition to all the unhealthy food that is consumed..
My thoughts are to focus on the positive, speak positive and back my positive words with Positive actions. Because words are powerful... Look for the good in everything. No matter what there is something good.. Even when it looks like there is no end in sight or things just couldn't be worse.. There is something good some where.. Even if its just the taste of a good cup of coffee to help you finish your day..

Good post! Sometimes people don't realize how their words affect people. I have to catch myself sometimes. I may say something that will come off not how I meant it just because my tone of voice.

Lovely and oh so true post! There is always good in what our Heavenly Father does, even when our human brains cannot find or comprehend it!

Oh So True.... and this week end tested that belief. We discovered a leak in our bathroom. Bob went to basement to work; hadn't been down there is a couple of weeks because of the Holiday business. He found a large puddle of water and all of our camping gear store on shelves soaked. He came upstairs and pulled the access panel on our tub and found a leak at the hot water connection to the faucet. It had to have been leaking a while cause the floor is soaked and ruined under the tub. When he poked a hole in the basement ceiling insulation water gushed out and we collected over 10 gallons of water. the bright side is we wanted to remodel the bathroom and now with the insurance check we will have the funds to start :)
