Good news And Bad News...

Everyone that is sane wants the bad news first... So here it is.. Our little Hobo who has been with us for 6 years was killed sometime Thursday night-Friday morning.. We were all so heartbroken.. She as a stray that came up to the farm we were managing at one time and would not go away. She bonded especially to my youngest daughter Kara but the whole family loved her. She was the smartest dog we have ever had. We live on a busy highway.. and apparently she didn't move fast enough this time. She was usually tied up at night but since she stuck close to the house we hadn't been doing that lately.. And that was it.
She was our 100 lb dog compacted into 20 lbs of ferocious. She protected what was hers.. Which was us, the animals and her property.  She was a hunter, herder and Livestock guardian all rolled into one. I don't know how many times I have walked to the back door in the last few days to give her a treat only to remember she is not there.. Living the farm life you expect to lose an animal occasionally before their time but I thought Hobo would be here for much longer. She will always be special.. We buried her in her favorite napping spot in one of my flower beds.. She will always be missed.. R.I.P. Hobo..

 Now for the good news....
My oldest daughter is getting married in about 40 days! YIKES!... Actually all the planning is going so well and fairly smooth. We knew it was going to happen since the soon to be Son-in-law had talked to her dad about a week before her 18th birthday. And he asked officially on her Birthday. We are happy for them and support them 100%..
Right now we are going 90 to nothing... We will probably collapse the day after the wedding..Lol But planning on a fun day to be enjoyed.. Lots of family coming in from out of state. Excited and Crazy all at once! God is so good all the time!
Have a great day everyone!! Oooh And Happy Coffee Day!
