Chicken Tractor Is Done!!!

It is currently housing 1 rooster and 7 hens for the trial run......... It was heavy to get to the pasture we wanted it in but after that to move it  a little each day is not hard.. Chickens arent to sure about it.. but I am sure they will come around.. I think it needs to be taller for turkeys though...
Let me know what you all think.... Always open for suggestions...

Very nice, I wouldn't know since we've never really raised chickens and never raised turkeys.

It looks great! I think your chickies will like it. It is probably too small for turkeys though. They get tall pretty quick.

I agree, it looks great. The chickens will get the hang of it. Once they figure out that your moving the tractor means fresh forage, they'll congregate at the front end when you come to move it. Well done.

Chickens catch on quickly, it looks like a great little portable home. It's hard to tell exactly how tall it is, but it does look a little short for turkeys. But, turkeys cannot be housed with chickens anyway. Chickens carry disease that kills turkeys. Turkeys need their own space away from them.

Happy Spring!

I like this. Although we have a large enclosed chicken yard this would be great for a new hen-mom and her babies!
