A Visitor....

This is Emma...
She is visiting for a while..
She is a purebred Lamancha.

She is due this Saturday...
A friend is gearing up to move and this was her last doe due.
So we are her maternity ward..
We kicked Moses and Jack to the back pen.
And gave her their pen.
We will milk her for a while and raise her babies. She will go home sometime in August. About the time we start breeding here.
Everyone is so grateful for the mud drying up here! You can actually walk to most of the goat pen in Flipflops! Chicken pen is still really soft in the front of it but the rest is pretty well dry.  It been warm!!! And Sunshine!!!!

This is the front-end loader cleaning the muck out of our driveway!!! Took at least 4 if not 5 scoops out then they put in a dump truck load of 4inch and bigger rocks. We no longer sink to the frame...

Kyle going up and down in the big truck to pack it down more.. Its so nice!!!! It seems our house is built on a rock... Literally!.. They said it looks like a rock shelf that ends at the top of the drive. When they were digging it out they hit a ledge and it pulled the front end loader down instead of lifting it out..It was just oozing out clay right below the ledge and water would bubble up there too. Hopefully its fixed now though.
Titus 3:1-3
1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready for every good work,
2 to speak evil of no man, not to be brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness unto all men.
3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.
I didn't do so well with this today.. I was wrong in the way I handled things.. Tomorrow is  a new day... Thank God for Mercy!!
 Have a great night everyone!

Emma looks very happy there. I hope Moses and Jack don't mind letting her borrow their pen to have her babies in.

Your driveway is an interesting situation ... I'm glad it's safe to drive on again! Sure beats parking at the bottom of the hill and carrying everything up.

Don't be hard on yourself for being human. And, yes! Thank God for Mercy!

(((hugs))) Tonia...Just because we are Christians, doesn't mean we are perfect. I've been struggling to be organised in my home and schooling and my teenagers love to make the most of it. I get frustrated with their attitudes and some days wonder why I'm even doing it (home-making/home-schooling) but God knows...and in our weaknesses, He is strong and refining us for His Glory. Praise the Lord that He knows our beginning, middle and our end!

How CUTE!! I love goats. But where are her ears?

We now have three goats and they are so lovely! Anglo-Nubian weather (a kid) that we hope to train to pull a cart and then a young nanny goat and her kid who are anglo-nubian/toggenberg cross and the kid has another breed in her, a white breed. I've forgotten the name.

Oh I would be anxious moving her so close to her due date, but it looks like she's thinking, "oh my own private birthing suite and all the hay and grain I can eat?!?!" lol

Yay to fixed driveway!
Thanks for the quote, what a day!

What a pretty girl you have visiting! Aren't you grateful for the sunshine? We are, and I am trying not to complain that it is hot now that it isn't raining!

I am a Missouri girl too!
I always say when it comes time to plant the garden that rocks are what we grown best.

Loved looking at the pictures of your family swimming in the creek. :)

Ha and I just came back to say that I saw your temperature link is for Hartville. I used to live in Hartville and am not too far from there now. :)
