Early Thanksgiving..........

My Baby Girls
As I was heading into town I was reminded of last year and what we were dealing with at the time.. Kyle had been laid off for about a month  and had no hope of being called back before Christmas. He was off for over 3 months starting in October and ending in January.. It was the  longest stretch he had ever been laid off since we had been married and he had been working this job. He has been working as a bricklayer for almost 16 years now and its been a shaky year due to the economy. Thankfully he has worked Steady since January and they are still working steady. God has been faithful.. Even when Kyle was laid off we were provided what we had need of.
It was a long 3 and a half months that we were glad was over. I am just glad we didn't have multiple car payments, credit cards and other things of that nature. We had chosen to simplify things a few years back. While it wasn't Easy  it was not near as hard as it could have been if we hadn't simplified things. There is much to be said for the Simple Life!
And while we have not simplified as much as some we still get funny looks for some of the things we do!Lol You know like making my own laundry soap, raising goats and homeschooling...To name a few...
I am very blessed and thankful for my husband and 3 girls... Life wouldn't be worth much to me with out them.. God is so Good! Just an early Thanksgiving post. Have a good night everyone!

It is nice to find Praise to God in our Trials. when we go through them we have a hard time finding God in it, but after we have gone through it it is easy to see that He held us in the palm of His hands every step of the way.. God Is GOOD

With the cooperation of a loving family, there is nothing you can't do. Thanks for the early Thanksgiving reminder. :)

I try to keep things pretty simple too...I have to borrow money for a car and I keep refusing to go look since I don't want that payment! Mine is really a heap.

Doesn't need to be Thanksgiving to be thankful! :)

Yes mam, God is good, all the time!

Life is so much easier when you've got your hand firmly in His and you are following instead of leading!

God is Faithful!

Truly, don't you feel that every day is Thanksgiving?? I am grateful for a warm bed, food, and a job every day.... even when I wake up and say, "Ack, just Wednesday!" LOL

God is good and you have much to be thankful for. It would do us all well to reflect on all the good in our lives. Thanks for the reminder.

God takes care of those who take care of themselves. You all sound like salt of the Earth type and not the "keeping up with the Jones's" type. You are very blessed to have such a lovely family and good blogging buddies!

Tonia and family,
What a wonderful tribute to the blessings in your life( even if some times were harder than others*wink*) and that you see them as blessings!

We too have had many blessing with the situation of Mike's job fiasco and the other job coming up out of the blue! For us the blessing are still rolling in, Cortney got a job! Yes and it's the circumstances that truly make it a blessing. First it's working for a family friend, who just lost his wife to cancer, after a three year battle. He's looking for someone to clean and do laundry once a week as well as cook noon time meals and every now and again( because he knows Cortney is a good cook) a home cooked supper slipped into the oven or made in the crock pot for him. He is paying her by the hour, she can set her own hours, just as long as the noon meals is done each day. Now the part I'm blessed with is he only lives 6 miles away and we can take the back roads( slow and easy) when the roads are bad.You know me I'm a big ole'chicken when it comes to driving on slick roads, LOL!!!
Thanks for sharing your thankfulness, it's catching*wink*
Blessings,
Kelle
