Blogging Blahs...

I have had thoughts and ideas for post but nothing I finished the last few days... Its been cold and blah outside and its kind of affecting the inside! Just a few more days then we will be past the shortest day of the year and On to more sunlight each day!!Till we hit Spring..And that means Goat Babies.. And chicks... And Milk!! Oh how I miss the Goat's Milk!
We had a dinner at the Fire Department last night. I got to meet all the people Kyle has been talking about. They are all very nice people! I love small towns!

I made little Christmas tree and bell shaped sugar cookies to take to the dinner. Along with an apple cake and green bean casserole.
They fixed fried turkeys! Sooo goood!! I hadn't had one before..  There was tons of food..

Brown Bear is back from visiting my goaty friend, Joy. He bred a few girls there. He will be going home later this week. She went through her books and magazines and brought me some. She told me they were old Which the books are but still usable.. But the Grit and Backyard Poultry Magazine were not!! I consider the last 2 years new!lol

A few of the magazines... My girls had the others when I was taking the pics!

The Attitude.... Today was bath day... Tink is still ticked at me!lol This is her after her batch showing her teeth and growling at me.. She is so scary!lol

Belle is just a wimpy dog.. She will occasionally growl at me when its time for a bath but mostly she just tries to hide around my neck from the water!!
I promise their bath time is NOT traumatic!!Lol

Now for the Bunnies...
We may have to watch this one so she doesn't take off for the river boats and casinos.Lol..

The three amigos....

Chewing on its fingernails!!

Tink staring down the fluffy threat!!! Lol She was pushing them back from the edge of the table...

We have a 4H meeting tomorrow night. We are decorating cookies and then taking them to the Police and Fire Department. We will also be singing Christmas Carols..
We have had a few miracles around here. Some bills have been paid and making it possible to pay others that are needing taken care of... Thank You Jesus!
Since Brown Bear has been back I put him in another pen with Van,the wether for company.. Well some of the goat girls were acting interested in him.. I thought Oh great they didn't get bred But I think they were just curious about the  "new guy" again since he has been gone for a couple of weeks. I put him in with the girls just to see... Well he sniffed around and they clamped tails down and RUN!..
So they are Not interested!Lol Shoooo........ Glad for that..
I finally talked Kyle into helping me move some of the rock from the old barn into the goat yard. So they have something to climb on and help with the hooves. It doesn't do a whole lot but I do notice if they have something rocky or rough to climb on the hooves don't need trimmed as often. It gives me about a week or 2 more between trimmings! Anyway they of course loved the rocks and immediately started playing queen of the VERY small mountain!
Oh and Bianca the new rabbit is gaining weight and she has gotten an attitude. Especially with Candice!LOL Candice always feeds her a little bit of what ever she is eating... Well tonight Candice was laying on the floor watching TV,Bianca runs up and grabs a hold of her shirt and starts pulling! She kept doing it. It was hilarious.. Well Candice finally gets some food and feeds her a little bit. She quit then..LOL It was so funny! You can still feel her hips and a little bit of her backbone. But you can't feel her ribs anymore. Yeah!
Good Night Everyone!

Your cookies look wonderful! I'm so glad you were able to pay some bills, too. That is a wonderful blessing, some of His tender mercies :)

We're milking one goat through this year. She is still giving 5-6 pounds every morning--so we decided to give it a try! We get goat milk all year this year! Yipee!

I can't wait for the longer days too. This dark is for the birds, or should I say the bats. hehehe. The bunnies are at the perfect age. I love them! The new picture on your blog header is so cute.

I love you new header. The bunnies are so cute. I can't wait for more light at the end of the day. So nice your 4-h group does service projects. We are part of three different groups and we do nothing like that in any of them. Have a great day Rebekah.

I love the pictures of your bunnies, they are just adorable. Sounds like you guys were pretty busy, we just hung around the house and enjoyed a lazy weekend.

I'm still getting a bit of milk...half-gallon from my two girls. I am not looking forward to those two months without!!

Sounds like life is keeping you busy.

My milk supply is dwindling too. I am down to 1/2 gallon a day. I am not looking forward to the drying off in Feb. I have babies due in April.

Looks like life is keeping you busy.

Sometimes the winter blahs hit us all it seems. I`m counting the days until the goat kids arrive myself, I miss my goat milk as well!

Love the festive bunny header!

You sure are busy for someone with the blahs. I only wish I could get that much accomplished.

I shall look forward to the shortest day in anticipation of longer ones.

Its cold and rainy here too. I've wanted to play in the dirt for days but can't when its this damp. Guess this is the sort of day for organizing closets and stuff. I'm glad to read the bun is doing better and has made a good friend.

Good Morning Tonia! The bunny Christmas header is festive and cute, those bunnies are sweet. The pups look all pretty after their baths. And the cookies, YUM! I love iced cookies! Fire up the wood stove the arctic blast is heading our way!!

The bunnies sound like a lot of fun! They are so cute.

I was not looking forward to being without milk this winter, but then had a doe breed later than the others ... SO ... I'm still milking one of my best does. The fresh goat milk is delicious. I should be able to milk her up to the time the others start kidding before drying her off to prepare her for her next kids. I didn't plan it this way ... but I'm glad it turned out this way!

I'll share a glass of milk when you bring Brown Bear home!

Love the new pictures of the bunnies.

I also have the blahs. I have lived in Florida all my life and have had no sunshine for a week and in desperate need.

Lucky you on the books and mags.

Cute story about Bianca and the shirt pulling to get her treats.
