This and That.....

Such an original title I have there!! The 2 newest babies.. We don't keep any of the babies. Some of you asked about naming them.. We don't do that either because they are almost 6 weeks old before we know if they are Boys or girls.. So then they are getting ready to go to new homes.. We let the new owners name them.. I am pretty sure these all have new homes. This will be all the baby bunnies till around February.Candice and Kyla out with the goats. It had been a few days since the goats had been out to roam. They enjoyed it very much. Two of the youngers were butting heads and wrestling around.. Who knew Boxes and paper would still occupy my girls at 12 yrs old!! Lol It was Kyla's idea and Kara helped... They built their own Pool table to play with marbles....My good deal from the other day.. A plant light for 99cents!! I got 2 that was all they had! It will come in handy to start seedlings! Yeah Deer Meat!! from my Nephew's deer he got.. This Marinated over night with Worcestershire's sauce, Marsala wine and Seasonings.. Slow cooked it yesterday and made gravy with the juice.. Served it over Mashed potatoes!! It was good.... I got a little over 55 pounds of meat ground and in the freezer..

The Chocolate truffles!! This one is rolled in black walnut meal.. We also rolled them in Cocoa, Powdered sugar and Cinnamon and sugar... They are hid in the frig till Thanksgiving... They are so good... And Fairly easy!! Hardest part was rolling them out with our hands... I am going to try some dark chocolate for Christmas..... Truffle recipe....
12 ounces of Semi sweet Bakers chocolate
1-8 ounce package of Cream cheese
2-3 tablespoons of milk or cream
3 cups of powdered sugar
2 teaspoons of Vanilla
Blend Cream cheese and Milk till smooth and creamy. I let my cream cheese set out and warm up some.
Add Powdered sugar gradually mix well... Add Vanilla and Melted chocolate blend till smooth.
Refrigerate for an hour or till cool..
Roll out into 1 inch balls and roll in Powdered sugar, cocoa, Chopped nuts, sprinkles or whatever else you think sounds good... I am also going to try coating some with almond bark see how that works!
We will be getting ready for Thanksgiving the next few days. Brown Bear the buck is leaving tomorrow to go visit the next group of girls. Its a busy week coming up and lots of Good Food!!
Have a good night everyone!

These guys make great pets. They arent only small but if handled often they stay very friendly where some of the other small breeds can be a little bit of a touch me not...

Such sweet little kits! Our venison is still on the hoof. Hubby struck out in our archery season so hopefully rifle will fill the freezer!

The truffle recipe is GREAT. Made it yesterday for family visiting from Minnesota. They are eating them and passing on the boxed truffles from the store. Thanks and have a Thankful Thanksgiving.
