The goat barn from the front... We finished tying down the tarps this morning.. Yeah they are ready for winter... Kyle working on it. He cut big tabs that fit between the squares on the panel. It fits tight between the panel and the outside tarp. Pretty much sealing it up. Its made to drop down in the warmer weather for air flow just have to untie and fold it over the back.He is 6ft so the ceiling is pretty high.A closer look at the seam. Don't worry we did cut all danglies and loose strings. The back. We run ripe through the loop on the edge and pulled it tight. Its tied down all around the bottom too. A view from the side and front. The front is made to drop down to help block more wind if needed. I can also add a piece of tarp in the front and roll it down to shut them in really bad weather or during kidding time. This is such an easy shelter and it has held in 80 mile/hour straightline winds before.. Lots of storms and such.. This is a 10X16 shelter.Dottie bored with the construction going on in the barn.. This has got to be the skinniest goat ever!! lol
Mid-morning Ruminating.... Bored with tormenting Kyle while he was working on the barn. They decided to take a nap. Sunshine stepped back against them and Abby used here for a place to rest her head..
2 goats in a tub!!! Really I shouldn't leave the feed tubs in there but they enjoy them so much.. They will eventually out grow them. They are still growing.. I just hope they don't expect me to buy one big enough for them to sleep when they get to big for these
We are getting a lot done.. We took the afternoon off though and just lounged around.. Kyle has been working on getting the hunting rifles sighted in and ready to go. Him and Kara will set up the tree stand for youth season that starts the 31st of this month. Kara is so excited!! I hope she gets one.... Or two....
I also got the chicken pretty much ready for winter too.. I figured out a feeder for them too. I will have to take a picture and post it tomorrow.
Have a good night everyone!!
