Coming In Like A Flood!!!

This is the view yesterday morning around 9am......Same view about 20 minutes later!!! It got worse too... We couldn't see the fences. This is where the water was coming from. Rolling off the hills and into the valley there and then flowing towards the farm at a high rate of speed!
The green hill there is a pond bank that was overflowing...

The water comes down a huge ditch then it floods it and flows over into the field..

This is where the water goes to the other side of our drive and into the next field heading for the creek....
And this is the fence we watched slowly collapse.. When they lifted the tornado warnings and the rain slowed some we tried to get out to head to an appointment But this was in our way....
It was at least 2 foot deep here and running fast....
After we couldn't get out with the van I walked down in the field and took more pictures of it..
This is the creek Before it peaked and few hours later.. It flooded the road and washed it out really bad...
Here Kyle is standing on the side of the road that washed out.. Its on the opposite of the farm. It washed out underneath the pavement where he is standing...
Some of our front fence line.. That whole field was almost completely water!
More fence line...
Creek after it went down Alot... Our fence line is behind those trees...
More fence line.
And more fence line....
And still more fence line....
Debris that was caught in the curve of the fence... There was even corn husk and stalks in it and I don't know of any corn fields around...
The fence along the drive way after it receded...... It was a little scary and crazy but it is Spring here in Missouri... Yeah Spring... But it made us late for an appointment and there was alot of damage on the way to Springfield. Electric poles were snapped off at the base and roofs were gone from some buildings, highway signs were gone and in bad shape. One of the area schools had extensive damage and the roof caved in but they said it was only minor injuries..
The sun came out later and it was warm and you would have never known that there had been wild and crazy storms....
I hope everyone has a great weekend and Hope all you moms have a great Mother's day!!

That's a lotta-water! Gotta figure something better for the fence. Same thing happened last year, but it didn't take the fence down, cause it was just barbed wire. I think we need to pull fence back more & dig the ditch out.

Have a good Mother's Day!

Sorry to hear about the terrible rains and all the damage done to the fences and roads. And to think all that came from one rainfall??
