Happenings.....

We survived the storm last night we spent about 30 minutes with the kids in the closet listening to the sirens going off. But it was a little east of us. Some of the straight line winds topped out at 68mph..

We went and started the barn cleaning job today. The lady they are working for didn't realize how tightly packed it was and cut the job in half for the girls to get their goats. We have to go back tomorrow and finish but they are taking daddy Muscle to help.. Here is a picture of the youngest goat. She is out of a registered Lamancha Buck and Registered Nubian Doe. Very cute and less than 2 weeks old so she will be in the house till a warmer day to start outside.
The other 2 goats are 4 weeks old and 3/4 Lamancha/1/4 Nubian and 3/4 Lamancha and 1/4 Alpine. They all share the same sire and different dams. Moms are great milkers too. They are going to show these babies at the fair this year. They are excited!!

Crazy Geese!! This is what they did yesterday. It was rainy and chilly. They thought this was suitable "pond" NO it s Not!! That's the milk goat's water tub!!! They messed it up good!
While we were gone today some of the goats took a day trip down the drive!! Stinkers I am just glad they didn't go far!! They haven't done that in the longest time but when the fence has a weak spot they find it!! Well I am off to soak away the aches of the day and go to bed!!! Have a good night all!

Lol at the geese in a dog bowl!! THey would think they own it for sure!!
THe animals have various barns and shelters to go to.. THe geeses and ducks usually dont go in and neither do the cows and horses. They just keep right on eating.. Sometimes they may huddle up in a low spot but not very often..
The sheep and goats run for the barn!!! THey melt when rain touches them..
The pigs bed down in a pile of hay. You will see nothing of them except maybe the top of their back.
