Faith, Family and Small Farm Life
I can see why they were fooled-it is so clear! What would happen if they break a hole in it? Will they get stuck? Can't they freeze into it at night? (never had ducks)Hope you have a great weekend!
MOst of the time they keep a spot from freezing and they sleep on the bank. Muscovies are actually a tree fowl so the will roost eventually or so they say.RIght now these guys just pile up on the bank or in the little shelter.
It has been cold here too, it's 13 right now at 11:21pm.
OMG!!! Ice thick enough for them to walk on... this early? I bet it would be funny to watch them! How far out does the ice go? It must be really cold (that's what the weather channel shows!!!!) And, it doesn't look like it's going to get any better soon. Snow to the north, rain to the south & you in the middle... I'll guess w/ slush? Oh... what fun!!!I just can't believe the pond is freezing in early December! And, it's so full!Have a good weekend & drive safe up to the show! I can't wait to hear about it & find out about the new sheep!I'm glad I'm in SoCal this winter!!
Hey... you're in for a warm spell tomorrow! high 53F low 46F!! After that... it's in the mid-20's ever night & 40's during the day. Be nice if those mamas'd quit holding back & have them tomorrow! But... of course they won't. They wait till is toooooo cold! More fun for you that way... right? How're the new ewes doing?
Great pictures! I am not a big fan of cold weather at all, we are supposed to get snow tomorrow.
