A Day In The Life......

I saw someone post this on their blog so its not original by any means!! Even though I like to think of myself as being original.LOL

So here it goes.....

6:30 am We get up Hubby leaves the house at 5;30 I get 30 more glorious minutes of shut eye!!! Get the girls up and going. Dressed and ready for the day by 7am. Do morning chores outside and back in by 8-8:30am. Morning chores consist of making sure everyone has water, feeding little animals like rabbits, chickens that are still penned up, dogs, take scraps to pigs and milking. We have breakfast and do inside chores. Start school work by 10 am. For the next 2 hours we work together and do unit studies. After 30 minutes for lunch we finish up book work and unit studies. 2:30 we are outside doing some kind of activity.Like taking a boat on the pond or planting something(we haven't got to that yet). 4pm is free time for the girls till about 6pm depending on the day. I try to get supper going if I hadn't started earlier or its a get your own thing day. We check water and make sure everyone has some. The girls finish up on inside chores if they didn't get done earlier. A little before dark we lock the milkers up and check eggs for the last time. Go inside and kick back for a few and relax. Get baths to go to bed and start all over again in the morning... Of course it doesn't always go so well organized because some one or animal always tries to mix things up for us. LOL That's our basic day and there is always variation too it!.....

Sounds like a busy day in all but that is life on a farm though!

Sounds like a great farm day!
How are the ducks doing? Are they coming in at night? That pix shows they've found the far(shallow) end of the pond. It's my guess that they'll want to nest in that corner. Problem is that's where the predators will come in! Does one of the dogs go over there? Too bad about Bud not working out, the ducks do need their own dog is they're going to be over there!
